About Me
I'm Aidan, a Counsellor based in West Lothian. As an NCPS accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor, I am trained in different modalities, including Person Centred, CBT and Psychodynamic, meaning that I can work in an integrative way, tailoring sessions to suit your needs and ensure that we work towards your goals, with a balanced collaborative approach.
I created Ember Counselling and Psychotherapy because I know that looking after your mental well-being can often feel overwhelming. Taking a step in any direction can seem daunting and difficult.
My aim is to support you through those first steps, with compassion, empathy and non-judgement, helping you to feel heard and understood while heading towards where you want to be, whether that be healing, self-discovery or self-acceptance.
Embers are a sign of resilience and endurance; they can symbolize strength and the potential for rebirth and new beginnings.
I am based in West Lothian and work within the Beech Brae Centre, nestled in beautiful farm and woodlands in Blackridge. The tranquil landscape lends well to a sense of calm and allows space for mindfulness.
